If you run a site here

• Your email address. It is how you sign in — there is no password to store, because we email you a one-time link instead. Kept while your account exists.
• What you configured. Site names, sources, rules, themes and domains. This is your content; it is deleted with your account.
• Billing. Card details never reach us. Stripe holds them and gives us a customer reference, your plan, its status and the renewal date.

If you read a site built here

There are no cookies for tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics scripts. We count page loads and outbound clicks on the server, and each record holds only the site, the path, the referring page, the two-letter country the request came from, and the time. That is not enough to identify you, and we make no attempt to link the records together into a person.

The only cookie on a site is the session cookie an owner gets after signing in to the admin. Readers are not given one.

If you subscribe to a newsletter

Your address goes to the site you subscribed to, confirmed by a link we email you, and is not shared between sites or with us for any other purpose. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe, which removes you immediately.

If you send us a takedown or an opt-out

We keep your name, address and what you told us, because we have to be able to show what we were asked and what we did about it. Those records are readable only by us. See the DMCA page and the opt-out page.

Abuse controls

To stop our sign-in mail being used to flood an inbox, we count recent attempts per address and per connection. Those counters store a one-way hash, never the address or the IP itself, and they reset on their own.

Who else sees any of it

Our hosting and database providers, our email provider, Stripe for payments, and the AI providers that write item summaries — which receive a headline, a link and an excerpt, never anything about a reader. We do not sell data, and we have no advertising business to sell it to.

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting your account removes your sites, their items and your subscriber lists. We keep what the law requires us to keep — invoices, and the record of a takedown — and nothing else.
